Update, "The Belgian Data Protection Authority has fined Google €600,000 for failure to comply with the ‘right to be forgotten’. Google rejected a request from a Belgian citizen to have obsolete and damaging search results removed from the site’s search results. The fine is the highest fine ever imposed by the Belgian authority".

Update, "European Court to decide legality of EU-US data sharing in dispute between Schrems and Facebook. A ruling by the European Court of Justice will have ramifications for hundreds of thousands of companies that share data with the US. The case aims to balance US surveillance laws with the rights of EU citizens to keep their data private".
