A Community of Data Protection heroes!
GDPR Community aims to be a helpful resource for anyone with an interest and has a passion for learning/sharing their knowledge on data protection. As the community grew, we have been able to help organisations with their data protection through recruitment.
As the world evolves and we become more connected, we inadvertently provide our personal information for our goods and services. This personal data is valuable and should be protected.
The General Data Protection Regulation came into place in 2018 to help ensure that good data protection practises are adopted. The Regulation lays down rules relating to "the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and rules relating to the free movement of personal data. It aims to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons and in particular their right to the protection of personal data".
With the new law, came questions and we set up the community to help. GDPR Community is an open space for those with an interest in data protection to share their insights and support one another. We believe in working together and hope GDPR Community is a useful resource for you!
